Birthday Parties

I'm delighted to announce that Cupcakes by Chrissie now hold Birthday Cupcake Parties. These are some vintage flower cupcakes decorated at a 15th Birthday party last weekend - fab aren't they! The parties all follow the same general formula - baking demo, icing demo then students decorating their cakes. I am able to hold cupcake decorating parties for children aged 11 and over so please do get in touch via the website to discuss your specific needs.

Welcome

Welcome to Cupcakes by Chrissie’s blog! We will be bringing you the latest Cupcake news from Chrissie’s Kitchen and also tips and information on the latest classes.
This month has been a busy one and Cupcakes by Chrissie Kitchen has had almost 500 cupcakes baked in their oven! As well as baking cakes for a Mother’s Day event in Birmingham Chrissie’s cupcake classes have grown and classes are packed out every week. One of the most popular classes currently is the vintage class where you can learn to make classic Vintage coloured cupcakes using a muted palette and then decorating them in beautiful roses, chandelier stencils and vintage embossers. Vintage really is the latest fashion regarding cupcakes.
If you like style elegance and grace the new Couture Class is the one to try. Classy golds, bronzes and shimmer and shine and all on a cupcake, this is the class where opulence is in full effect.
Also coming soon as requested by some of the fans on Cupcakes By Chrissie’s facebook page is a Chocolate workshop where you can learn how to make the ultimate moist chocolate cupcake and also learn about delicious chocolate icing toppings like ganache, chocolate transfer sheets and chocolate sugarpaste!
Another request that we have had is for a baby shower/newborn baby class. I must admit that designing these cupcakes did make me a little broody! Ive a fabulous baby footprint stencil that is so sweet. Again dates will be released in the coming weeks for this class.
How far would you travel for a class? Well last month we had Joanna from Portugal! Joanna travelled over for two intensive days of cupcake and cake decorating. She learned a wealth of information and by the end of the two days was equipped to make Vintage Cupcakes, Kinky Cupcakes, A hat Cake and a Floral Cupcakes! We even managed to sneak Joanna to the nearest cake decorating shop to stock up on supplies!

The new Cupcake By Chrissie Loyalty Card is now in operation too, with the loyalty card you get advantages when you book a number of classes. The benefits will include lots of cake decorating kit and even free classes too! Its proving very popular and a couple of ladies have already earned a free class!
Happy baking and remember Keep Calm Eat A Cupcake!
