In 2005 Chrissie started baking cakes for her son and his friends in Castle Vale, Birmingham. As a young mother with a young son, parties were frequent and soon Chrissie was baking cakes for friends and family on a regular basis. Whilst doing all the baking Chrissie also was studying for a teacher training degree in home economics which she completed in 2007. Chrissie has found it very inspiring teaching students the important life skill of baking and decorating cakes.
Chrissie's latest passion of cupcakes was inspired by a trip with her two sisters to New York where she was introduced to the American cupcake. After returning to England, Chrissie decided to launch her own cupcake training school where she could teach skills and techniques to aspiring students. Most recently Chrissie has been approached by "The Cheese Barn" in Sutton Coldfield and her cupcakes and cakes can be bought there.
